Preheat oven to 190 C degrees.
Set your hand-held mixer on high. For 1 min. bit the eggs with hot water until they form a thick lather.
Combine the sugar with vanilla together and gradually mix it into the eggs for approx. 3 min.
Sieve both flours and baking powder and use half it to bit into the egg mixture with mixer set on low. Repeat the process with the 2nd half of flour.
Prepare the heart mould; silicone one would the the best choice and is available from Amazon.co.uk.
Grease the bottom of the mould and pour the mixture into it. Level it up in necessary.
Bake for 20-30 min. until golden-brown, leave to cool a bit and take it out of the mould to cool completely on wire rack.
For the filling:
With electric mixer set on medium, bit the butter gradually adding chocolate custard, that was made with extra 75g sugar. Butter has to be warmed up a bit and custard cooled to equal temperatures, otherwise the mixture will curdle and we don't want that.
Heart cake cut in 2 layers and bottom part place on the platter that's its final destination. Prepare 2 cups of strong tea with lemon, sugar and some strong alkohol (if no children will be eating the cake.
Now you kan soak gradually the bottom part of sponge with one cup od lemon tea. Do it using a large spoon and start from the edge, continuing through to the center. When it's done you can now use almost half of the mixture to spread it on top of the bottom layer. Place the top layer and press it slightly. Repeat the soaking and spreading with the top layer making sure you have enough butter left to use it as icing on the sides of the cake. When the top is done , do the sides. And there you have it ready to be decorated to you own liking; either with fruits and jelly or with chocolate shavings and anything you fancy. Enjoy!
